Ava's Big Day

I had my 20 week U/S today and it was interesting. Little Ava Lynn (changed her middle name) is right on target and weighing a whopping 14 ozs. We had a cyst that they saw on the amnio but thankfully it is gone. Everything else looks great. We even caught her sucking her thumb and waving. Check out the pics.

Hurricane Ike

First, I'd like to thank all the ones that called and wrote me to express their concern for my well being, it means alot.

Second, I am fine. The house sustained some minor damage but nothing like the sad folks in Galveston, Kemah and the surrounding areas of Houston. Watching the news is just horrifying...just to give you a piece of what's going on in my area, you can turn to abc13.com and watch the live feed from our news channel.

My hubby couldn't get home as the airport was closed. Sad to say, he's still stuck in Germany. Hopefully he'll be home soon.

We were without power for a few days and that was hell on wheels. It was restored last night so all is well and the kids and I are hanging in there.

I do not have phone service yet so if you try to call, you'll be out of luck. I have my cell if you need to reach me.

Amnio results are in...

baby is fine. No abnormal cells or chromosomes. What a relief. And it is confirmed... it's a girl!!

Terrible Heartburn

17 weeks 2 days

Man, for the last two days it's been murder. Of course I know it's my fault as I have been craving and eating such acidic things like guacamole and soup.

Nothing else is new. Dave is out of the country on business. He went to Amsterdam and Rotterdam and now he's on his way to Germany. He is 7 hours ahead so I only get to talk to him once of twice which is a bummer. He's only been gone three days and I miss him so much already.

Baby is starting to move in my belly. It's exciting but she seems to really be awake at night when I'm trying to sleep. LOL

Chassy...thinking of you and hoping everything goes well tomorrow. Jenn, let's chat soon. Lez...love the belly...let me know how the next dr. appt goes.

Steph... hope you and the family are surviving hurricane galore down there. I think we're next!

on Sept. 2nd. Went well. Only hurt a little.

Birthday was yesterday, had a nice day. Went out to dinner
and relaxed.
