In Disbelief

Went to my RE today for a sonogram and MAN, was I in disbelief when I saw the outcome of what Clomid did to me. Not 1 sac but 4 sacs that didn't dissipate after ovulation.I am so bloated and uncomfortable it isn't funny, not to mention in pain.

This is what I was told. I am CD 20 today so in another week I will see if a period comes. If not, I go in for a pregnancy test. If it is positive then I will have to wait it out until they shrink. If AF
comes then I have to go in for another baseline ultrasound on CD 2 or 3 and see if they shrunk. If they didn't, then I'm on birth control until they do. Ugh!!

So, for now I'm on the progesterone and suffering on Tylenol and bedrest....that it until work on Monday morning.

One Step Forward...Two Steps Back

I hate to even write this post as it makes me so flippin'mad. Okay, so you know I took the Clomid this cycle...and I started the monitor again (courtesy of Chassy). I got about 6 high readings to date and no peak and I'm currently on CD 20. That's not the worst part. I have had the worst abdominal pain. At first I thought it was the over abundance of eggs but it has gone on too long. I called the Dr. today to see if they can squeeze me in to do a sonogram and I get "Can you come in tomorrow at 8AM"? I had no choice but to take it. So I work til 10PM tonight and then 8AM tomorrow I go in. Ooh, and did I mention what the lovely nurse said so sweetly to me?? Ally, you must have a cyst or two but we'll look tomorrow, no biggie"

Quick Note....Good News!

I got my blood test results for the ovarian reserve (FSH)...and I'm happy to report it was a 9. Anything over 10 is considered low so I'm good. WOOWOO!!

Estradol levels are 4.8. Also good.

Acupuncture went well today...I am feeling more relaxed every time I go and thats a good thing because as you know...RELAXING is what it takes to get pregnant! LOL

A new plan

Today was CD3 and my scheduled FSH (ovarian reserve) test with my RE. I called them to let them know I would be coming in before work to draw blood. I wanted to get a hold of my doctor to say HI and fill him in on on my acupuncture. I wound up sitting with him for over 30 minutes. I love an accessible Dr. He told me it was ok to continue but he did not want me on the herbal tinctures. He told be they screw with my estrogen receptors (whatever that means) and he wanted me to do a cycle of Clomid. So, that's what I'm doing. Clomid this cycle from CD3-7, opks to determine ovulation and bding on appropriate days. He also put me on progesterone starting 5 days after Oing.

This short and sweet visit turned into a different plan altogether. The way he sees it (and the way it's been going) is that I don't seem to have a problem getting pregnant it's staying pregnant...so we'll see if the combo of Clomid and acupuncture do the trick.

Maybe I won't need IVF..fingers and follies crossed!
